The newest edition to this area is the U.S. National White Water Center. It is currently the only one of its kind in the United States.

Across the Catawba River from Belmont, the U.S. National Whitewater Center will provide 300 acres of recreation when itnational whitewater park opens in 2006.

An Olympic-caliber training site, the center features an artificial river with adaptable rapids for different levels of paddlers.

This place is just too cool and sure to leave an adrenaline filled memory.

It also offers rock climbing and mountain bike trails.

Other areas of this center include climbing facilities, trails for biking and hiking, and a 37-acre island for camping. (and, yes, that's us in the picture!)


Mount Holly Homes


Belmont and Mount Holly are about the same size, each with a population somewhere around 10,000.

These areas are booming due to the cost of land in Charlotte rising, and the close proximity each offers, not only to Charlotte, but to the Charlotte International Airport and good Interstate access.

Both of these little towns are just thirty minutes outside of Charlotte.
