Careful...make sure you use a mortgage lender that knows what they are doing! One of our favorites is Susan Webber with Countrywide Mortgage. She has been in the business for 23 years and can probably help you get just what you are looking for! Another favorite is Sharon Ford with Wells Fargo Mortgage Company. Sharon has been in the mortgage business over 15 years. Either one of the mortgage brokers can help you wander through the maze of loans out there. Both offer a variety of lending programs which they will try to match up with your financial situation.
Susan or Sharon will be able to tell you (based on your credit score) what kind of loan you can qualify for, and the amount your payment would be every month. Getting the loan information up front, will help you tremendously. A pre-qualified buyer is viewed as a serious buyer to a seller, and someone they (the seller) would be more inclined to negotiate seriously with. It is a very important first step. Plus, this is free. If you are serious, it is not only the best place to start, it is the right place to start!
