South Park is a prestigious address that boasts many fabulous communities. It includes the South Park Mall that holds many upscale retailers, a bustling business district and is home to Charlotte Symphony's summer concerts at the outdoor amphitheater. You can still find some old classics, mixed in amongst the new. Several gated communities keep the lookie-lou's out!
Uptown Charlotte is home to the NFL Carolina Panthers and NBA Bobcats, hundreds of restaurants and lots of urban nightlife. About ten years ago, Charlotte was worried about keeping their uptown area lively enough. We have come full swing, street festivals likes Blues, Brews and BBQ and the Southern Food Festival taking place near Johnson and Wales Culinary School. There are many rapidly expanding neighborhoods including pleney of highrises with condos, flats, and luxury townhomes. Some neighborhoods are filling in empty lots with new homes. The Mecklenburg Park Department is busy expanding our uptown Greenway system making Charlotte friendlier for its bikers and walkers.
Cabarrus County is located just northeast of Charlotte and is home to over 150,000 people. It includes the town of Concord that has both rich history and many new developments. It has NASCAR races at Lowes Motor Speedway and great shopping at Concord Mills Mall.
