Less than ten miles down South I-77 is Rock Hill South Carolina. Rock Hill has more than 50,000 residents and is home to Winthrop University. Pricing is a little more reasonable here than in Fort Mill. Full shopping, restaurants and amenities are available through out Rock Hill...no need to run off to Charlotte for things!
Lake Wylie is a 12,455 acre lake that offers many residential and recreational options including the
community of Lake Wylie, just 17 miles from Charlotte. Quaint shops and eateries line the area. Lake Wylie flows inside of both North Carolina and South Carolina.
The panhandle of Lancaster County reaches up to South Mecklenburg County and is home to good schools
and some fastastic neighborhoods like the Active Age Community at the new 1500 acre Sun City Carolina Lakes and family-friendly communities like Legacy Park. These are located just about 6 miles South of the Ballantyne area. The Sun City development has spurred on more shopping centers with anchoring grocery stores, pharmacies and the like. Soon, shopping will be just a stone's throw away for all of these communities!
